Everyone has the right to submit a request to ensure the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or any element thereof. It is also possible to request that information be made available using an alternative method of access, for example by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without audio description, etc. The request should include the data of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is in question and the method of contact. If the person making the request reports the need to receive information using an alternative method of access, they should also specify a convenient way of presenting this information. The public entity should fulfil the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the date of submitting the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform the person submitting the request when it will be possible to fulfil the request, and this deadline may not be longer than 2 months from the date of submitting the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative method of accessing the information. In the event that a public entity refuses to comply with a request to ensure accessibility or an alternative method of accessing information, the person submitting the request may file a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or element of a website or mobile application. After exhausting the procedure indicated above, an application may also be filed with the Commissioner for Human Rights.
