Certification

In order to become a participant in the KZR INiG, each operator has to complete several stages.

Certification body means an independent accredited or recognized conformity assessment body that concludes an agreement with a voluntary scheme to provide certification services for raw materials or fuels by carrying out audits of economic operators and issuing certificates on behalf of the voluntary scheme.

Certificate: a document confirming that the entity meets the requirements of Directive (EU) 2018/2001.

Depending on the nature of the activity, the relevant scope of certification should be entered on the application form and in the contract. The stated scope will be included on the certificate.

An economic operator can be certified in parallel according to one of four certification pathways: biofuels and bioliquids, biomass fuels, recycled carbon-based fuels (RCF), renewable liquid and gaseous transport fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO). Within the certification pathways, certification areas are distinguished.
